About the event
Carolyn Ivanoff will reveal the mystery of an unsigned diary of a Penn. soldier during the Civil War. Her program describes the discovery of the soldier’s identity and shares his story with period images in his own words. Travel with this man from his enlistment in August 1862 to the Battle of Antietam, the bloodiest day in U.S. History.

Carolyn Ivanoff is a retired high school administrator and independent historian. She writes and speaks on American history in a variety of formats and venues. Her book, We Fought at Gettysburg, was published in March 2023.
As an author and researcher, much of her work focuses on 19th century American history including social, medical, and material culture, the American Civil War, and Connecticut.
Carolyn is also on our advisory board and over the years has presented many wonderful programs to our round table.
